Hello, salut, kushe, Jambo, molo, mhoro, as-salaam-alaikum. Warm African greetings to you! We launched our superheroes initiative to give y’all an insight into Africa’s crème de la crème ( African Youths). These young people are the Africa’s treasure though they don’t often get the recognition they deserve. To us they are superheroes and this month of October is dedicated to telling their stories. It’s a pleasure to introduce superhero Abdulrahman M. Kowa!
Abdul Rahman is a Community Volunteer providing team leadership and mentorship to over 105 volunteers with Sierra Leone Unites. His team provides early warnings through community awareness on conflict vulnerabilities and how they affect peace and security in the country. He is an Experienced Volunteer Coordinator, Youth Ambassador with a demonstrated history of working in National Government, non-profit organizations and with the management industry over a period of 19 years. He is a skilled Conflict Mediator, Civic Leader, and Mentor who has provided mentorship to over 100 youths across Sierra Leone and as well providing leadership for 3 Non-Profit Volunteer Organizations.

Abdul Rahman is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, 2018 African Changemakers Fellow and a certified West African Peace Ambassador. He is a member of West African Civil Society Forum and holds membership in various international and local organizations and forums. He focuses on building the capacity of young people and mentoring them to set achievable personal and professional goals to overcome life challenges through trainings in leadership skills that will better equip them to contribute to national development. Abdulrahman is a passionate leader with a determination to see young people grow and access education and career opportunities. His selfless dedication to has branded him a Superhero.
